Liverpool are on their way to securing long-term future with exciting youth prospect this summer ahead of new season.
The summer transfer window has been a blast for the Reds, with the signings of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, Armin Pecsi and Milos Kerkez.
Richard Hughes & Co.
have been extremely meticulous with the execution of major transfers as the squad has gone through somewhat of a rebuild.
Although the defending Premier League champions are starting their pre-season games from tomorrow against Preston North End, after suffering the tragic loss of Diogo Jota, LFC’s market business has not concluded yet.
Despite the reinforcements at fullback and midfield, the Anfield giants are lacking squad strength at the heart of the defence.
For that, the club is considering signing a defender this summer, preferably Marc Guehi.
However, there is another update from Fabrizio Romano that is of high interest for the Merseyside faithfuls.

According to a X (formerly Twitter) update via transfer expert Romano, “Liverpool are planning to advance for new deal talks with Rio Ngumoha.”
The update further declassified that discussions are currently going on at the administrative level to sign a long-term contract with the young winger.
The 2008-born player turns 17 in August and will be eligible to sign his first professional contract.
The Reds were able to hijack the former Chelsea Academy attacker last summer on a scholarship term, that had infuriated the London side.
Although Ngumoha has been a regular with the U18 LFC side, he has also been featuring in the club’s U21 side due to his exceptional talent.
He made a total of 26 appearances across all competitions, bagging two goals and assisting 4.
Ngumoha was also called up by Slot for the Reds’ FA Cup match against Accrington Stanley, where he started the game and played 72 minutes.
During his time on the pitch, the youngster took one shot, attempted seven dribbles while completing three, had a passing accuracy of 89% and gained a 6.6 rating for his performance (stats via Sofascore).
The 16-year-old pacey winger had claimed last year that he wants to be regarded as one of the best in the game: “I think for me, we’re all believing that I can win the Ballon d’Or.
“I want to be regarded as one of the best players to ever play football and yeah, be a legend in the game.”
This stands as a testament for the England U17 international’s immense will to succeed at the top level.
With the pre-season game against Preston North End scheduled to kick-off on Sunday, we can expect the youngster to make an appearance under Arne Slot’s guidance.
For Liverpool, signing Rio Ngumoha for long-term will mean that the club will have an extremely talented and reliable individual taking charge of the attacking department in the near future.
